Voucher Incentive ProgramThis auto recycler was reimbursed for buying this spill control kit.

A financial incentives program

Your business can get 50% of its costs reimbursed up to $500 per business site.*

The Voucher Incentive Program reimburses a business part of its costs to improve hazardous materials management and hazardous waste disposal.

To qualify you must

  • be located in King County. This includes cities (including all of Bothell, Pacific and Auburn) and unincorporated areas.
  • create less than 220 lbs/month of hazardous waste.**
  • have a business license.
  • receive a visit from a field representative who will recommend how you can use your reimbursement.

You can use your voucher for

  • lab testing your waste to see if it is hazardous.
  • disposal and recycling.
  • equipment, including secondary containment and spill control.
  • personal protective equipment for employees.
  • hazardous waste management plans.

*A fee charged on garbage/water/sewer bills funds the Voucher Incentive Program.

**To qualify for this program, the business must be a Small Quantity Generator or SQG (must create less than 220 lb. /month of hazardous waste).  SQG is defined by State regulations Chapter 173 - 303 WAC, RCW 70.105.
