This report describes the approach taken for a preliminary assessment of pesticides used by the City of Seattle and was later adopted by King County. The purpose of the assessment is to prioritize candidates for phase-out in order to meet the City's desire to reduce pesticide use. The tiered lists generated as a product of this assessment can only be correctly interpreted with an understanding of the approach and methodology that was used.
