DiseasesRemove diseased leaves. Don’t put them in home compost – get rid of diseased leaves in the yard-waste pickup bin.

There are safe treatments for powdery mildew. For example Green Cure® fungicide is baking soda based.

Sulfur or jojoba oil may help prevent powdery mildew. Products that contain these ingredients are less toxic than those containing harsher chemicals.

Treat diseases and insects separately. Combination products waste money and can be more hazardous than those that treat only one problem.
