According to data from the Census Bureau’s 2006 American Community Survey (ACS), 30% of King County residents are immigrant or refugees and persons of color, and of that number, 336,000 are foreign born. To ensure that we can effectively engage our customers, LHWMP forges partnerships with other agencies and communities to increase our capacity, to translate information, use interpreters to convey messages, and to promote programs and services.

King County Interpreter List Please note that you need to contact Dave Hickok who will arrange for an interpreter through the Public Health Interpreter Coordinator. Dave will send you a form to fill out requesting the specific language required, appointment location, and time the interpreter is to meet you. Services cost between $20-$25 per hour, on average, payable by the program. Generally, the services are billed after the service is completed.
